Hallo Forum,

ich greife über eine AdoConnection im Format (Provider=Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0) auf eine Access Datenbank zu. Unter Windows XP klappt das einwandfrei!

Wenn ich mein Programm unter Windows Vista starte kommt eine Allgemeine Fehlermeldung gleich beim Start und man kann es nicht nutzen unter Vista.

Läuft das Programm unter Vista über eine AdoConnection, wenn ich einen anderen Provider auswähle? Welchen Provider würdet ihr mir empfehlen? Ich möchte mein Programm jetzt nicht extra auf DAO umschreiben.

Bin für jeden Tipp dankbar. Die allgemeinen Unterschiede zwischen MDAC 2.8 und DAO 6.0 in Vista habe ich schon gelesen. Ich vermute es hängt an dem ausgwählten Provider.

Liegt die DB evtl im Programm-Verzeichnis so das deine Anwendung trotz Admin-Rechte deinerseits keine Schreibrechte hat?
Dann wurdest du ge-UAC't. Leg mal die DB-Datei in ein anderes Verzeichnis.
