Ich halte mich selber ja für dumm, aber im Quelltext von den CS- und Delphi-Forum Webseiten finde ich kein <html>, nur das </html>. Frisst mein Internet das nur, oder ist das wirklich so???

Stimmt, das <html> fehlt tatsächlich. Der Doctype ersetzt es ja nicht.

Komisch ist nur, dass der Validator des W3C das gar nicht als Fehler anzeigt.

Anfang und Ende des HTML-Tags sind in HTML optional:
W3C: | 7.3 The HTML element
Start tag: optional, End tag: optional |

Dass das an sich optional ist, ist klar, aber ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass es valide ist nur eins davon wegzulassen.

Naja, das summiert sich halt auf... Wenn er das </html> auch weglassen würde, können wir vielleicht noch den Regenwald retten...

Hmm, wenn es nachgetragen wird, braucht der <html>-Tag noch irgend welche Parameter? Oder ist es besser wenn wir den </html>-Tag entsorgen? Ich bin für die erste Lösung
