Is it possible to increase Internet speed by changing DNS Ip address

Well, it's not possible to get a higher download speed, but the name resolving when starting a connection can be increased dramatically if your current DNS server is slow. Normally you can see this in your browser's statistics (at least inside of Google Chrome you can).

The DNS servers of Google (4.4.4.4 and 8.8.8.8) are quite fast and reliable, but you have to hand over every DNS query to Google.

This however doesn't affect the actual speed of the connection between a peer server and your local client that is downloading the file.

Usually your inbound connection speed (downstream) is far more limiting than the server upstream: The best connections get on the server side are at about 8MByte/s. Even with a good remote server my accieved downstream on a normal DSL connection is about 1.6 to 1.8 MByte/s. Inside the German Research network you might get speeds up to 2.4MByte/s between universities, but that's nothing people would usually get that easily.

I absolutely disagree. At home i can download files at 3.5 MB/s (DSL Kabel Deutschland) and at work at 5.5 MB/s (VDSL). On server side, it depends on the connection. The more you pay for your connection the higher the down-/uploadspeed is. If you get only 8 MB/s, you might have an 100 MBit connection, so pay a little more and you'll get much higher speed with a Gigabit uplink...

Ok, then you can surely tell me why I only get DSL3000 even though I pay for DSL6000.
